The Green Economy Coalition, the GGKP, and partners held a series interactive panels discussions to explore the question “What is Wealth?” with thought leaders from government, academia, business, and civil society at the 2019 PAGE Ministerial conference, Inclusive and Sustainable Economies, and the 2019 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

GGGI will hold a workshop at the 3rd UN PAGE Ministerial Conference (Conference Hall 2 at 13:15 - 14:00) to exchange ideas on how to effectively leverage social inclusion in green growth planning, policy and investments. The event will also serve to premiere GGGI’s latest film, Green Growth for Gender Equality: Promoting Poverty Reduction and Social Inclusion.

A better understanding of how climate action can reinforce national sustainable development targets will improve political buy-in. The SDG Climate Action Nexus tool (SCAN-tool) provides high-level guidance on how climate actions can impact achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), covering actions across seven mitigation sectors: electricity and heat, transport, buildings, industry, waste, agriculture, and forestry.

Over 200 individuals from conservation organisations, governments, companies and financial institutions have joined in a “Call to Action” for greater efforts to secure “Biodiversity Net Gain” in the context of development. The call to action was issued during Natural Capital Week, where the Business and Biodiversity Offsets Programme (BBOP) launched a new set of roadmaps and guidance for business and government to craft economic development strategies that result in an overall gain of biodiversity, rather than loss.
